In your face is this bands motto. Raw power with a more progressive style rock has formed from Mindcure. Their fans sometimes say they are a variety of Godsmack, Creed, Stained and even Linkinpark, but others say they have a sound that is all their own.  Mindcure pumps out pure adrenaline with their energetic show. Their sound is gutsy enough for metal heads but mainstream enough for radio. Their writing brilliance comes from everyday life experiences, experimentation, and the drive to make a difference in music.   Eddie Malone (vocals) says, “There is a force of raw power that gets me raging on the stage. I believe that anybody who likes music will enjoy our show.”

Mindcure has been in The Ardent Studio in Memphis, TN on and off since July of 2004. The band chose to use a professional studio this time around. They plan to release their new album in March 2005. The band has a following that can be seen all over their home town just by passing cars covered with their stickers.

Eddie Malone (vocals) formed Mindcure in 2000 with Joey McLarrin (lead guitar). Writing new music just seemed to flow between the two. Eddie tried for years to get together with his childhood friend Mike Wells (drums) but the timing was just not right. In 2001 their time came. Mindcure evolved into a powerhouse of unbelievable talent. Mike gave the band a whole new outlook on everything from writing music, to new, more energetic shows. One month before the band was scheduled to go into studio, they welcomed a new bass player, Todd Williams. He rose to the occasion and together Mindcure has recorded what will soon be an album on everyone’s lips.

After a few months in studio it became apparent that the band would soon need to expand even more and add a second guitarist. Jacob Foster became their rhythm guitar player. The effect with adding a rhythm player is best described as ripping layers of heart stopping guitar. Once again the band was improved.

Not only is this band full of talent, it is also full of compassionate members who truly care about their young fans and what kind of roll models they portray. They welcome the chance to get involved with the local youth whenever possible, and will happily do benefit events for nonprofit organizations.

“Torn into a thousand pieces

I lie I’m broken

I live by all this bottled up inside

Kick down how long can I stand this

How long can I take you screaming at me”

A verse in their song “ I am” off there up coming album speaks to all sorts. This band has a goal of making a difference in everyway possible. Through their music, lyrics, actions and their attitude they will conquer the industry and make their mark. Expect to see and hear more from this band.
